House of Horrors

Halloween 2004 I was given the oppritunity to design build and run a "House of Horrors" at Middlesex County College in the old barn studio theater. the house of horrors ran for 2 nights (the night before/campus halloween party and night of halloween) and was more sucessfull that I had thought it would be.

these are the concept drawings I made and presented to the college activity board that got it green lighted.

Hallway

going with the redneck canibals theme, I had the idea that as you walked down the hallways -what was left of them- you could see through the walls and witness murders or see people calling for help

Clown

Designed at the Request of my friend Alex (then president of the theater club I was in that was building and running the H.o.H.) who insisted that clowns freaked people out - I agreed but had a hard time trying to figure out how to work one into the Hillbilly Cannibal theme, this is what I ended up with.

Scary girl

Scary girl never made it into the haunted house, mostly due to lack of time and persons to play her, but the dolls with the cut off heads made it in.

Screwer

"Screwer" was in one of the first rooms, and he had a mask that was made out of a stocking and duct tape, we never used the mask, because we tested it out on me and i ended up feeling pretty light headed (from the tightness.)

Butcher Room - Girl in cage and "preserves"

things that were just going to be around the butcher's room, the girl in cage got cut out due to time constraints.

Freak

idea for the freak kid in the basement, tied to a post and fed a bucket of some kinda repulsive food - fish heads or something.

Piggy

Not very hillbilly but I felt it fit in - pigs faces are scary

Piggy was only there the first night and was played by Heather G. who hated it because she couldnt see out of the mask, the wig was sticky w/ fake blood, and the rain poncho was hot, it ended up really creepy though.

Butcher's Block

one of the last rooms/areas of the H.o.H. was going to be the butchers room, in which we we going to have the "butcher" chopping up bodies, we ended up not using the paper cutter/gulitiene idea, but the table with the actor's top half pokeing through and fake guts coming out did... dont think I drew that.

Axe Murderer

I ended up playing the axe murderer, but I wore a tank top rather than a T-shirt.

actually I guess I designed him with myself in mind playing him, also I sitll had the long hair then.
